Medi CareGivers provides the following services and more - all tailored to meet your individual needs:


Skilled Nursing

RNs and LPNs provide skilled nursing care, offering similar services as in the hospital, nursing home, or adult day center. Doctors’ orders are required for skilled nursing shifts. Duties may include services similar to the following:

  • Assesses blood pressure, pulse and respiratory status
  • Monitors medication regime
  • Monitors nutrition, hydration, bowel and bladder functions
  • Diabetic teaching – check glucose levels, administer insulin
  • Wound care – dressing changes
  • Catheter care/changes-urethral and suprapubic
  • Colostomy/ileostomy care
  • Draws blood samples – venous
  • IV therapy, antibiotics therapy
  • Tube feedings
  • Intravenous Medications
  • Additional services as needed

Personal Care Services

CNAs and PCAs provide personal care services. These services are intended to enable Patients to remain safely and comfortably in their residence. All personal care services are managed and supervised by a Nurse Manager. Duties may include services similar to the following:

  • Assists with Eating, Grooming, Dressing, Bathing, Incontinence, Cognitive impairment and Mobility
  • Provide status reports to family
  • Provide Medication reminders
  • Assists with grooming and hygiene
  • Monitors vital signs and medication
  • Assists with proper body movement and daily exercise
  • Provide Alzheimer’s care
  • Provide Respite care
  • Assists with going to appointments
  • Provides security to assure safety and well being
  • Secures the right help in emergencies
  • Meal preparation to maintain proper diet
  • Perform the day-to-day cleaning and laundry
  • Accompanies on walks

Companionship and Sitter Services

RNs and LPNs provide skilled nursing care, offering similar services as in the hospital, nursing home, or adult day center. Doctors’ orders are required for skilled nursing shifts. Duties may include services similar to the following:

  • Offer elderly companionship and conversation
  • Monitor diet and eating
  • Check food expirations
  • Assist with evening and tuck-in
  • Stimulate mental awareness
  • Answer the door
  • Reminisce about the past
  • Assist with clothing selection
  • Care for houseplants
  • Provide reminders for appointments
  • Discuss current and historical events
  • Participate in crafts
  • Play games and cards
  • Supervise home maintenance
  • Record and arrange recipes
  • Oversee home deliveries
  • Clip coupons for shopping
  • Monitor TV usage
  • Mail bills and letters
  • Buy magazines, papers and books
  • Rent and play movies
  • Plan visits, outings and trips
  • Visit neighbors and friends
  • Read religious materials
  • Maintain calendar
  • Maintain family scrapbook
  • Record family history
  • Assist with entertaining
  • Organize mail
  • Drop off and pick up dry cleaning
  • Pick up prescriptions
  • Aid with morning and wake-up

    • Escort for shopping and errands
